About John Carlson
John Carlson is a tight end for the Arizona Cardinals. Carlson had a great first two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, catching a combined 106 passes for 1,201 yards and nine touchdowns. During his 2008 season, he was the first Seahawks rookie receiver to lead the team in catches and yards since Steve Largent. Carlson was selected to the Seahawks 35th anniversary team. In 2012, he inked a five-year, $25 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings but was released after two seasons. Concussion issues have perhaps robbed him of an even more prosperous career. Seattle originally selected Carlson out of Notre Dame in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He started for the Fighting Irish for two seasons and was a Mackey Award finalist in 2006. The Minnesota native went to Litchfield High School and won three basketball state titles in addition to his football accomplishments.
