About Joe Scott
Joe Scott played his college basketball at Princeton University from 1983 from 1987 after setting the school scoring record at Toms River High School East in New Jersey. After earning his degree he joined the Monmouth University coaching staff as an assistant in 1991 before returning to his alma mater in 1992. After eight years at Princeton as an assistant he was hired as the head basketball coach at the United States Air Force Academy in 2000 and went on to help the Falcons to a 22-7 record in 2003-04 and a birth in the NCAA Tournament. His performance that season earned him Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year honors. The following season he signed on as the new head coach at Princeton and served in that role until being hired as the head coach at Denver in 2007. In nine seasons, Scott led the Pioneers to 146 wins and a WAC Regular Season Championship in 2013. He subsequently spent two seasons as an assistant at Holy Cross and he is currently an assistant at Georgia.
