About Jerod Haase
Jerod Haase has led the men's basketball programs at both Stanford and UAB. Haase was most recently the head coach of the Cardinal from 2016-24. He had his greatest success with the Blazers, guiding them to 20-win seasons in each of his last two years.
Under Haase's watch, UAB won the Conference USA Tournament in 2015. The following year, they were regular season champions in CUSA going 26-7 and he was named conference Coach of the Year.
Before arriving in Birmingham, Haase was a longtime assistant with Roy Williams at Kansas and North Carolina.
Haase split his college playing career between California and under Williams at Kansas.The Jayhawks went 34-2 when he was a senior. That year, the four other players in the starting lineup all would play in the NBA.
Haase averaged 12.5 points a game at KU and scored over 1,000 career points.Overall, the Jayhawks went 89-13 with him as a player and won three conference tournaments.Haase is a native of South Lake Tahoe, California.
