About Jered Weaver
Jared Weaver was one of the better pitchers of his era. Weaver spent ten of his 11 major league seasons with the Los Angeles Angeles, going to three All-Star games and leading the American League in wins twice. He also racked up the most strikeouts in baseball in 2010. Weaver finished his career with a 150-98 record, a 3.63 ERA and 1,621 strikeouts. The Angels originally selected him in the first round of the 2004 MLB Draft. Weaver grew up in Northridge, California with a passion for the game of baseball. After a standout career at Simi Valley High School, he earned a scholarship to pitch at California State University, Long Beach, where he led the Dirtbags to a College World Series appearance in 2004 and won the Golden Spikes Award as the nation’s top amateur baseball player.
