Jeff Klauk

Jeff Klauk is a professional golfer born in Boyton Beach, Florida in the late 1970’s. Klauk, of South African nationality, turned professional in 2000. He credits his father for his interest in golf as he introduced him to the sport at a very young age. Klauk played on junior golf teams all throughout his childhood and pursued a collegiate career at Florida Southern College, where he was a member of a team that clinched three NCAA Division II Championship titles throughout his time there. In 2000, the same year he graduated college, Klauk won the individual title, was a member of the Palmer Cup team and turned professional all in one year. He started off on the Web.com Tour, obtaining two wins, before earning his PGA Tour card for the ’08-’09 season. Klauk underwent brain surgery in 2011 and was forced to take a 14-month break. However, he came back stronger than even in September of 2012, golfing at the Albertson’s Boise Open on the Web.com Tour and exemplifying how overcoming hardships is a part of life. Coming from a family of athletes, the strength Klauk displayed both mentally and physically after undergoing brain surgery, highly impressed but did not surprise too many. Klauk remains a fighter and honorable example of a dedicated athlete as he continues his carreer as a professional golfer to date.
