Jeff Carter

Jeff Carter is most famously recognized as a professional hockey player in the National Hockey League. Carter currently competes for the Los Angeles Kings but was a Canada native born in London, Ontario in 1985. He grew up playing for the London Jr. Knights rep program and was even selected as the third overall pick in the 2001 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection portion of the draft. Playing with them for two seasons, it was not until 2003 that Carter was selected as the eleventh overall pick in the 2003 NHL Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. As a right-handed center standing 6’4”, Carter served as an important contribution to the Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets, and most recently the Los Angeles Kings. He also debuted internally with Team Canada at the 2003 IIHF World U18 Championships and has since earned three gold medals and one silver medal. Carter’s most recent gold medal was earned at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, during which he scored a hat trick against Austria. As a current team member of the Los Angeles Kings, Carter has previously won two Stanley Cups with them and continues to enjoy every moment of his time with a team and sport that he loves.
