The Boston Celtics madeJaylen Brown the third overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft after hewas a standout performer in his one college season at the University of California. He averaged 14.6 points and 5.4 rebounds while starting 34 games. Brown was named to the All-Pac 12 first team and the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. The Golden Bears made the NCAA Tournament as a five seed as well during his freshman campaign. Brown came to the Berkeley campus after playing at Joseph Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. He was ranked as the second-best player in his class by Rivals.com. Brown led his school to a 5A state championship as a senior and was named a McDonald's and Parade All-American.
