About Jay Miron
Jay Miron was one of the top BMX riders in the entire world during his run through the X-Games. In 1995 he burst onto the scene with his impressive array of tricks and high performance moves and captured the first ever X-Games gold medal in Bike Dirt. From that point on it was shear dominance, with him taking home a total of 9 medals in the X-Games in a variety of different BMX competitions. Nicknamed “The Canadian Beast”, he was a revolutionary in his sport, having invented upwards of 30 tricks. One such trick, the double backflip, took him to new heights in the history of BMX. When he performed the 540-tail whip in competition it was a showstopper, and for many years he was the only one on the circuit to perfect and utilize the trick. At one point he developed and manufactured his own line called MacNeil Bikes. Miron left the sport of BMX in 2010 as one of the legends of the sport.
