Jamie Bestwick

Jamie Bestwick is a BMX legend, and is known as the most dominant BMX vert rider in history. Nicknamed Burger or Burkey, the Nottingham, United Kingdom native started riding BMX bikes at the age of 10 and eventually his passion turned into a successful career. In his first X-Games in 1996 he placed 3rd in the vert competition, which set the stage for a dominant run at the top of the podium. In 2005 Bestwick won every competition he entered and brought home the Dew Cup. For the foreseeable future he was virtually unbeatable, bringing home seven X-Games gold medals, winning the Dew Cup four more times and earning the title of 20006 Dew Tour Athlete of the Year. Known for his willingness to take chances to entertain the crowd, Bestwick was the first rider ever to land a double tailwhip flair in competition, and was an innovator in the sport during his career.
