About James Loney
James Loney is one of the most consistent hitters in baseball. Loney has hit over .290 in each of his first two seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays. He had been a stalwart at first base for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 2006-2012. In 2008 and 2009 in LA, Loney hit in the .280s and drove in 90 runs each season. His 2007 season drew him Rookie of the Year consideration when he hit .331 with 15 homers and 67 RBI in 96 games. Loney was the 2006 Dodgers Minor League Player of the Year when he hit a minor league best .380 for the Las Vegas 51s. The Dodgers originally selected him out of high school with the 19th overall pick in the first round.
