About Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray is a point guard for the Denver Nuggets. Murray has become a leader for the Nuggets, averaging a career-best 18.2 points per game in 2018-19. After being the 7th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Murray had his college basketball at the University of Kentucky. In his one season in Lexington, he turned in one of the greatest campaigns in UK basketball history. Murray averaged a Kentucky freshman record 20 points per game. He was a Associated Press third-team All-American and U.S. Basketball Writers Association Freshman All-American. Murray also was a first-team All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman team honoree. While Kentucky won the SEC Tournament, he led the way, picking up All-Tournament honors in the process. Murray also had a team-high 19 points in the NCAA Tournament opening round win against Stony Brook before UK fell to Indiana in the second round. He grew up in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and was recruited to the Wildcats out of Orangeville Prep.
