About Jahlil Okafor
Jahlil Okafor accomplished nearly everything one could want to do in college basketball during his freshman year. Okafor entered Duke with lofty expectations and ended the year as a consensus first-team All-American and the ACC Player of the Year. The Blue Devils also ended up on top at the end of March Madness at NCAA Champions. Okafor averaged 17.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game before declaring for the 2015 NBA Draft. He is one of the top prep talents to ever emerge from Chicago. At famed Whitney Young High School, Okafor built a legendary career. As a senior, he was co-MVP of the McDonald’s All-American Game and Jordan Brand Classic. Several outlets named Okafor National Player of the Year and he was Mr. Basketball in the state of Illinois. Whitney Young also won a 4A state title in 2014. Okafor overcame the loss of his mother when he was nine years old. Both of his parents played college basketball.
