About Jaedyn McKinstry
Jaedyn McKinstry has overcome the odds to suit up for Bowling Green on the football field. McKinstry was a promising football and basketball player in high school before he was diagnosed with a rare form of Stage 4 cancer. Doctors discovered cancer after McKinstry had suffered an injury on the court. He had a full year of chemo that left him as more of a role player on both teams as a junior and far from his former star status. McKinstry kept working, putting on approximately 50 pounds entering his senior year, which was enough to get a preferred walk-on offer at BGSU. He ended up appearing in 10 of 12 games as a freshman for the Falcons.
