Hannah Stuelke entered the world on July 10, 2003, in Cedar Rapids Iowa. The University of Iowa Hawkeyes forward Hannah Stuelke stands out because of her exceptional scoring talent and rebounding skills and her enthusiastic personality. She received first-team all-state recognition four times at Washington High School before becoming Iowa Miss Basketball in 2022 after breaking the school scoring record with 29.1 points and 10.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
She received Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year recognition during her freshman year (2022–23) at Iowa and earned Second Team All–Big Ten selection during her sophomore year after scoring 47 points against Penn State which became the third highest single-game total in Hawkeyes history. During the 2024–25 season she surpassed 1,000 career points while achieving multiple double-doubles and maintained statistics of 12.7 points and 7.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game to receive All–Big Ten recognition.
Stuelke dedicates her time outside basketball to support mental health initiatives for female athletes. She joined forces with U.S. Cellular in March 2025 to create an NIL campaign which aimed to help young female athletes dealing with online negativity through positive messages. She became the main speaker at the 2024 Iowa High School Sports Awards event and established a mental-health initiative for Cedar Rapids school districts.
The city of her hometown honored her with a Key to the City ceremony during May 2024 while she maintains her dual focus on athletic excellence and community service. The June 2025 selection to the USA Basketball AmeriCup trials indicated her expanding national recognition.
She receives her nickname "Happy Like Hannah" because she leads through leadership while displaying athletic ability and academic success and advocacy work. She studies English and Creative Writing at university while maintaining strong ties to Cedar Rapids while motivating her teammates and peers and young athletes throughout the United States.
