Haley Batton

Haley Batten is a professional cross-country mountain biker from the United States who is known for her ability to perform well in different conditions and her dedication to both her sport and education. She was born on September 19, 1998, in Fort Collins, Colorado, and moved to Park City, Utah, when she was nine years old, and started racing mountain bikes. She was introduced to cycling at an early age, and the outdoor culture of Park City helped her develop a passion for the sport. At 14, she won her first national title, and that was the start of her competitive career.

Batten turned professional at 17 with the Clif Pro Team and later joined Trinity Racing and Specialized Factory Racing. She has had several notable successes, including a bronze medal at the 2022 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and a silver medal in the women’s cross-country event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which was the best Olympic finish by a U.S. mountain biker.

In addition to her athletic career, Batten is also a student at Quest University Canada, where she is studying Liberal Arts and Sciences. She splits her time between Squamish, British Columbia, where she studies, Santa Cruz, California, where she trains, and traveling internationally for competitions. Her interests include Nordic and alpine skiing, windsurfing, cooking, drawing, and hiking.

Batten is coached by three-time Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong and is sponsored by brands like Specialized and Julbo. She continues to inspire others with her dedication to both her sport and personal growth.
