About Allison Baver
Allison Baver is a short track speed skater who competed for Team USA at the 2002, 2006, and 2010 Winter Olympics. In Turin, Baver finished seventh in the 500m. She took home a bronze medal in the 3000m relay in Vancouver, but did not make it to the finals in either the 1000m or 1500m. A year prior to competing at the 2010 Games, Baver broke her leg, but still returned to compete. She was a national champion in short track in 2007 despite suffering an ankle injury during the 2006 Olympics. Baver was the first inline speed skater to cross over to ice and qualify for the Olympic team. She set the American record in the 1000m and currently holds the American records in the 1500m and 3000m relays. She is a native of Reading, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State. Baver founded the Off The Ice Foundation in 2010, which brings skating sports and educational programs into communities. She has endorsement partnerships with Penske Truck Rental and Proctor & Gamble Beauty and has worked with numerous other companies throughout her career.
