About Gregg Jefferies
Gregg Jefferies played 14 seasons in the major leagues with the New York Mets, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, Anaheim Angels and Detroit Tigers. A two-time All-Star, Jefferies best year came in 1993 with the St. Louis Cardinals when he hit .342 with 16 homeruns and 83 RBI. He followed that up by hitting .325 with the red birds in 1994 and .306 with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1995. During his time in the league he was one of the most consistent players to take the field night in and night out, having hit .289 for his career with 126 homeruns, and 300 doubles while also scoring 761 runs and driving in 663 runs. After his career he became a youth hitting instructor and now runs the Gregg Jefferies Sports Academy in Pleasonton, California.
