About Eric Mangini
Eric Mangini has a long career as an NFL coach, most notably winning three Super Bowls as a part of Bill Belichick's staff with the New England Patriots. He began the journey as an offensive assistant for the Baltimore Ravens in 1996.
Mangini got two head coaching shots with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns.In his very first season, the Jets finished 10-6 and made the playoffs.
After leaving the Browns in 2010, Mangini spent a few years away from the game as an analyst at ESPN.The Niners hired him as tight ends coach in 2013 and promoted him to run the defense in 2015. Mangini is a Hartford, Connecticut native who played collegiately at Division III Wesleyan University.He holds the school's single-season and career records for sacks.
