About Dick LeBeau
Dick LeBeau has been an active member of the NFL for 56 consecutive seasons. As a player he spent 14 seasons with the Detroit Lions from 1959 to 1972 as a defensive back and posted an incredible 62 career interceptions. His best year came in 1970 when he intercepted an NFC best nine passes and locked down opposing wide receivers all-season long. Following his playing career he began coaching with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1973 and has since served as a defensive coordinator and assistant coach with the Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers. He even earned a brief stint as the head coach of the Bengals. As an assistant, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest defensive coaches ever. His leadership led to his teams winning six AFC Championships and two Super Bowls in 2005 and 2008. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010 as a player.
