About David West
David West is a veteran NBA power forward and over the past decade has been one of the most respected players in the league. West is currently a member of the San Antonio Spurs, but first achieved acclaim with the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans. He is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer with 8,690 points. West also represented New Orleans with consecutive All-Star game appearances in 2008 and 2009. He also spent four seasons of his career with the Indiana Pacers, helping them make the playoffs during his first three years there. West came out of Xavier as the 18th pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. The three-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Year is one of the most accomplished players in school history. In his final season, he was both a unanimous first-team All-American and the AP National Player of the Year. His #30 jersey is retired by the basketball program.
