About Dave Taylor
Dave Taylor spent 18 years in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings and was selected to the NHL All-Star game four times while also bringing home the Bill Masterson Memorial Trophy and King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 1981 for his dedication to leadership, community, and sportsmanship. Taylor played his collegiate hockey at Clarkson University and scored 87 goals to go along with 134 assists for a total of 121 points in 95 career games. He joined the Kings in 1977 after one season with the Fort Worth Texans in the CHL and went on to score 431 goals and add 638 assists for a total of 1,069 points in 1111 career games. He also added 26 goals and 33 assists for a total of 59 points in 92 career playoff games. The Kings honored his contributions to their franchise by retiring his legendary No. 18 jersey. After his retirement he served as the General Manager of the Kings from 1997 to 2006, and was later hired as the Director of Player Personnel for the Dallas Stars for three years before joining the St. Louis Blues in 2010 as their Vice President of Hockey Operations.
