About Dan Plesac
Dan Plesac is a former MLB pitcher who spent 18 seasons in the league with six different teams. Early in his career, Plesac played his college ball at North Carolina State University, where he played well enough to be inducted into the NC State Hall of Fame. When Plesac entered the MLB, he was initially thought to be a starting pitcher with the Milwaukee Brewers, but he was moved to a closing role, a move that would benefit both him and the team. Primarily a left handed specialist, Plesac was voted an All Star three straight times between 1987 and 1989, and ended his career with a 65-71 record and a 3.64 ERA in 1,072 innings pitched. Although he played for several teams, Plesac is most famous for his time spent with the Milwaukee Brewers, where he holds team records for ERA, games, saves, and many other records. Following his retirement, Plesac transitioned into a baseball television analyst role, and is now working for the MLB Network.
