About Bill Schroeder
Bill Schroeder is a current broadcaster and former Major League Baseball player. In high school he earned All-State honors in his junior and senior years and then attended Clemson University where he led the team to the ACC Championship in back to back seasons. Bill was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1979 draft, where he played for six of his eight years in the majors. Until 2007, Shroeder was the fastest rookie in Brewers history to reach 15 home runs in just 71 games. Bills best season came in 1987 when he caught the only no hitter in Brewers history, batted .332 and broke up a no hitter with a bunt single against the Royals. After retiring Bill transitioned into broadcasting where he began his career as an analyst for a local Milwaukee area show, Baseball Sunday. In 1995 he was asked to be a color commentator for the Brewers television broadcasts which is a position he has held ever since.
