Dale Tallon

Dale Tallon is a retired NHL player and current general manager of the Florida Panthers. He began his playing career at just 16 years old with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey Association, playing three seasons in the junior league before entering the 1970 NHL Draft where he was selected second overall by the Vancouver Canucks. In his rookie season, Tallon scored 14 goals, increasing this to 17 his sophomore season. In 1973, Tallon was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks, where he would play for five seasons before finishing his career with a two year stint with the Pittsburgh Penguins. In ten seasons, Tallon scored 98 goals with 238 assists, playing in 642 games. After he retired, Tallon turned his focus to broadcasting, spending 16 years as an analyst and broadcaster with the Chicago Blackhawks. He then transitioned into a front office role with the team, becoming their director of player personnel in 1998 until being promoted to assistant general manager and eventually the general manager. Tallon was demoted to senior advisor in 2009, and eventually left the team to become general manager of the Florida Panthers, where he has served ever since.
