About Dale Holmes
Dale Holmes is a retired professional BMX racer who competed for over 25 years in the sports. Holmes started racing at just ten years old, competing in various amateur races around the country. Originally from England, Holmes became one of the top racers in England during the 1980s, winning multiple races and titles in his home country before turning professional. In 1988, Holmes decided to turn professional at 16 years old, racing in various professional leagues, including the EBA UK, the BCBMX, and many more. Holmes has won over 50 national and regional titles over the course of his career, and competed all the way up until his retirement in 2009. He only sustained one sever injury, a broken hand in 2005 that kept him away from the sport for a while, but he returned to win more titles. Holmes is now a sportscaster for the Olympics and for other BMX tournaments across the world.
