Dennis McCoy

Dennis McCoy is a Kansas City, Missouri native and grew up with bike pedals under his feet. Eventually those pedals would carry him to stardom on the BMX circuit as a pro rider. In 1986 he received his first sponsorship at the age of 20 with Haro Bicycles. He’d eventually compete under the Haro and Mongoose banners while dominating the flatland, vert and street circuits. In 2001 he became a household name when he earned a spot on the hit video game Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX as a playable rider. Considered to be a pioneer in freestyle BMX, he was known to throw down 540 variations and 900’s on the vert and was always one of the most electric entertainers on tour. McCoy’s accomplishments include being featured in several Road fools episodes and managing several major actions sports stars and events while also training, competing and building a legendary career of his own. Now in his 40’s, McCoy still competes today and continues to entertain crowds with his highflying maneuvers and uncanny skill on the bike.
