Curt Warner

Curt Warner is a former professional football player for the NFL. He is most commonly recognized as the Seattle Seahawk’s running back from 1983 to 1989 but played his last season with the Los Angeles Rams. Warner grew up in West Virginia and was a Penn State graduate, occupying an impressive 42 school records by the time he graduated along with a degree in speech communication. Immediately out of college, Warner was selected as the third overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. He continued to play for them for the majority of his professional career, becoming a three-time Pro Bowl selection, first-team All-Pro selection, and two-time second-team All-Pro selection over the course of five seasons. Since retirement, Warner currently resides in Washington and gives back to his community both through football and through fighting for a cause he strongly believes in. Warner is the running backs coach at Camas High School in Camas, Washington and has established his own foundation to raise money and awareness for autism, known as the Curt Warner Autism Foundation. One of his three sons looks up to Warner so much, just as thousands of others do, that he is currently following in his father’s footsteps playing wide receiver at Penn State University.
