About Corey Seager
Corey Seager is one of the best shortstops in baseball. Seager became a star with the Los Angeles Dodgers, earning All-Star selections and Silver Slugger Awards in his first two seasons. He was also named National League Rookie of the Year in 2016 after becoming the youngest starting shortstop on Opening Day for the Dodgers since 1944. In 2020, he was the MVP of the NLCS and World Series, hitting a combined .347 with seven home runs and 16 RBI to help LA win the title. Seager signed with the Texas Rangers following the 2021 season.
Seager was originally selected by the Dodgers with the 18th overall pick of the 2012 MLB Draft. He debuted in Los Angeles in September 2015. In his final minor league campaign, Baseball America named him their Triple A Player of the Year. Entering 2015, he was considered the fifth-best prospect in baseball by the publication. That was following a 2014 where he was named Most Valuable Player of the California League.
