Colin Cowherd is most famously known as the director of his show, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, on ESPN Radio and ESPNU. Prior to hosting his own show, Cowherd was a co-host of the show SportsNation on ESPN2. However, Cowherd’s history with television and radio goes back even further. He attended Eastern Washington University after growing up in Bay Center, Washington in the mid 1960’s and early 1970’s. After graduating from college, Cowherd launched is career as the play-by-play voice for the Pacific Coast League’s Las Vegas Stars and also went on to become a sports director at KVBC-TV in Las Vegas, where he was named Nevada’s Sportcaster of the Year on five multiple occasions. He then worked as a sports anchor in Florida and Oregon before starting to host his own show in 2003. In addition, Cowherd is author to, You Herd Me! I’ll Say It If Nobody Else Will, which is a book that came out in 2013 and mirrors his philosophy on how he runs his show, as well.
