About Charles Mann
Charles Mann is a former professional football defensive end for the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers. Mann is currently a businessman. Mann attended the University of Nevada where he was a defensive end on their football team from 1979-82. As a senior, Mann led the Big Sky conference in sacks and he was named the conferenceâs Most Valuable Defensive Lineman. The Washington Redskins selected Mann in the third round as the 84th overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft. Mann was the starting left defensive end for the Redskins by his second season. Mann helped the Redskins to two Super Bowl Championships and was a 4x Pro Bowl selection before he signed with the San Francisco 49ers in 1994 as a free agent. During his time with the 49ers, Mann won another Super Bowl. After retiring from football, Mann helped the Good Samaritan Foundation. He has also started his own company.
