About Carlos Franco
Carlos Franco is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Growing up, Franco’s family was poor and his father worked as a greenkeeper and a caddy. Franco became a professional golfer in 1986 and has golfed in many parts of the world since then. Franco has won 4 PGA Tours, 5 Japan Golf Tours, 1 Asian Tour, and 12 other tours. In Latin America alone, Franco has won more than 20 tournaments. From 1994-99, Franco played on the Japan Golf Tour. Franco began playing on the U.S. based PGA Tour in 1999. As a rookie, Franco was the first rookie to surpass $1 million in earnings in a season, and that same year he won the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year title. Franco’s last win on the PGA Tour came in 2004 and after struggling with the PGA Tour, Franco played on the Web.com Tour and the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.
