About Cameron Maybin
Cameron Maybin is an outfielder for the Chicago Cubs. Maybin was selected with the tenth overall pick in the 2005 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers. While in the minor leagues, he participated in the All-Star Futures Game twice and was considered one of the best prospects in baseball. Maybin was the youngest player in the American League when he made his major league debut with the Tigers in 2007. That offseason, he was traded to the Florida Marlins. He spent three seasons with the Marlins before being traded to the San Diego Padres in 2010. Maybin had a breakthrough season in 2011, played in 137 games and stole 40 bases. After four years in San Diego, he spent a season with the Atlanta Braves and Detroit. Maybin began the 2017 season with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim before being acquired off waivers by the Houston Astros. He scored the go-ahead run in Game 2 of the World Series and helped Houston win the series in seven games.
