Bob Ojeda

Bob Ojeda pitched in the big leagues for 14 seasons with the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees from 1980 to 1984.  Ojeda got his start in pro ball after a stellar prep career at Redwood High School and college career at College oft eh Sequoias in Visalia, California.  Upon signing a professional contract with the Boston Red Sox in 1978 he began his meteoric march up the Red Sox minor league system.  After reaching the big leagues with the Red Sox in 1980 he played his first five seasons in Boston, establishing himself as a top of the rotation starter.  In 1986he made the move to the New York Mets and helped his team to a World Series title.  He spent the next four seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees.  After his career as a player came to an end he became a pro coach in the minor leagues and in the Can-Am league.  He has also become a contributing author for The New York Times.
