About Aleksander Barkov
Aleksander Barkov is one of the top stars for the Florida Panthers. The Panthers originally made him the second overall pick of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Barkov began his professional career in Finland before joining Florida for the 2013-14 season. As a rookie, hebecame the youngest player since 1967 to score an NHL goal. He was selected to his first All-Star Game in 2018 after a breakout first half. Barkov is also well-regarded for his sportsmanship and was a finalist for the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 2016. He has represented Finland in international competition, most notably helping his country win a bronze medal at the 2014 Olympics and a silver at the 2016 World Championships.
