Addison Russell Biography

Addison Russell is the starting shortstop for the Chicago Cubs and a rising baseball star.  Russell was named to his first All-Star in 2016.  At the break, he had 11 homeruns and 53 RBI.  Russell's debut season with the Cubs was in 2015.  His debut was much talked about as Baseball America named him the third best prospect in the sport entering the year.  The Oakland Athletics orginally drafted Russell 11th overall in the 2012 MLB Draft out of Pace High School.  In his final high school season, he hit .368 and was named a Louisville Slugger first-team All-American.
