About Addison Barger
Addison Barger is a star outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays. Raised in Tampa after age six, he was homeschooled and trained on a backyard field built by his father. Drafted in the sixth round (176th overall) of the 2018 MLB Draft from C. Leon King High School, Barger debuted in the Gulf Coast League. He surged in 2022, hitting .308 with 26 HR across Double-A and Triple-A, earning a 40-man spot. Barger’s MLB debut was on April 24, 2024. In 2025, he played 148 games, with 15 HR and versatile defense. His defining moment came in the 2025 World Series, when he blasted the first pinch-hit grand slam in franchise postseason history in Game 1 vs. the Dodgers, fueling Toronto's championship run.
