Eagles Legend Ron Jaworski to Keynote Catholic Men's Conference in Philadelphia

For a certain generation, former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski is a favorite Philadelphia sports legend. On Saturday, March 9, many will come out to hear him keynote the 11th annual Man Up Philly Catholic Men's Conference.

Jaworski will share thoughts on how faith affects his life and football career. In the past, the event has enlisted sports personalities like Rich Gannon, Fran Dunphy and Phil Martelli to give similar talks.

There will be several other speakers at the conference with a closer tie to religion. Last year, 1,300 men and boys attended the event, so this year's festivities at Neumann University's Mirenda Center should be well-received.

Jaworski spent the majority of his 17-year career with the Eagles and held the career touchdown passes record for the franchise for 22 years. In 1980, he led Philly to their first NFC Eastern Division title and an appearance in Super Bowl XV.

That year, Jaworski was named to the Pro Bowl and won the NFC Player of the Year award. He is a member of the Eagles Hall of Fame.

Jaworski has gone on to be successful in business as the CEO of Ron Jaworski Golf Management and was a popular broadcaster with ESPN for several years. He is also a part owner of the Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul and is Chairman for the league's Executive Committee.
