Zach Kleiman

Zach Kleiman is one of the NBA's most respected front-office executives. He currently serves as the general manager and vice president of basketball operations for the Memphis Grizzlies. Kleiman has been a basketball junkie his entire life, growing up in Chicago during the rise of Michael Jordan's Bulls. He went to college at the University of Southern California and, while there, served as a public relations intern with the Los Angeles Lakers. Kleiman went on to get his J.D. from Duke University School of Law. While in school, he was a basketball operations intern with the Charlotte Bobcats. Kleiman became team counsel for the Grizzlies in 2015 and worked his way up through the organization. Kleiman spent a year as Senior Director of Basketball Operations and, then, assistant general manager before being named VP of Basketball Ops. He oversaw a complete rebuild of the Memphis roster, which culminated in the team winning its first division title in 2022. Kleiman was named NBA Executive of the Year for his efforts.
