About William Floyd
William Floyd was an NFL fullback for the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers. During his rookie year, the 49ers won Super Bowl XXIX. Floyd accomplished a rookie first by scoring three touchdowns in the divisional round game that season against the Chicago Bears. He also scored in the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl. In 1996, Floyd had to overcome a devastating right knee injury. At that point, he was leading the NFL in receptions. Floyd was the last fullback to be taken in the first round of the NFL Draft. At Florida State, he helped the Seminoles win a national title in 1993. Floyd was the best running back in Florida coming out of Lakewood High School. He currently lives in Orlando, Florida and works in public relations for Able Body Labor. Floyd also joins Gene Deckerhoff in the radio booth as the color analyst for FSU Football.
