About Vladimir Guerrero
Vladimir Guerrero spent 16 seasons in the MLB (1996-2011) as one of the most feared hitters in the League as well as one of the top right fielders of his time. Guerrero was signed by the Montreal Expos out of the Dominican Republic in 1993 and made his debut 3 years later for the Expos. Through the late 1990s and early 2000s, Guerrero made name for himself as one of the top hitters in the MLB by setting several single-season batting records for the Expos franchise and he finished his Expos career as their all-time leader in most major batting categories. Guerrero was a nine-time All-Star and eight-time Silver Slugger Award winner throughout his 16 seasons and in 2004 was named the AL MVP as a member of the Los Angeles Angels. His batting and fielding skills helped lead the Angels to five AL West Championships in a 6-year span from 2004-2009. Guerrero played for several other teams to end his career but signed a one day contract with the Angels in 2014 to retire with his former team.
