Vitali Klitschko

Before punching in the hours in the Ukrainian political world, Vitali Klitschko was punching opponents as a professional boxer. After beginning as a kickboxer and then making his way through the amateur boxing ranks, Klitschko turned professional in 1996 and his career lasted until 2013. Throughout that span, he recorded a 45-2 professional record while recording 41 knockouts. His knockout-to-fight ratio of 87.23% is the second highest of all time and in 47 professional fights he was never once knocked down. He was the WBC, WBO, and The Ring magazine heavyweight champion and his span of over 5 years with 9 defenses of the WBC heavyweight championship is 8th longest all-time. While still boxing in 2005, Klitschko began his political career and has worked his way up to being elected Mayor of Kiev in 2014, which is the largest city and the capital of the Ukraine.
