About Vince Carter
Half man, half amazing, Vince Carter came into the NBA in 1998 and quickly made a name for himself as one of the most explosive and entertaining players of his generation. He had been a McDonalds All-American in high school before attending the University of North Carolina where he made 2 trips to the NCAA Final Four. Vinsanity came into the league with a bang, winning the NBA Rookie of the Year honors in 1999 and putting on possibly the greatest Slam Dunk Contest performance in the history of the event in 2000. He was selected to 8 straight All-Star Games from 2000-2007 and set numerous franchise records as a member of the New Jersey Nets from 2004-2009 including most points in a season (2,070) and most consecutive 20 point games (23). Carter has played for 6 different teams throughout his 17 year NBA career and was a member of Team USA at the 2000 Olympic Games where he won a gold medal.
