Tyler White Biography

Tyler White is a first baseman for the Houston Astros. White made the Astros Opening Day roster in 2016. During his first week in the major leagues, he hit .556 with three home runs and nine RBI. He set a Houston record for hits in his first five games. For his outstanding week, White was named American League Player of the Week. Overall, White played in 86 games during his rookie campaign and hit eight homers. White played his college baseball at Western Carolina. While with the Catamounts, he was the Southern Conference Player of the Year in 2013 and an All-American. Houston selected him in the 33rd round of the 2013 MLB Draft.
