Tyler Eifert

Often dubbed as "Tight End U", Tyler Eifert made the correct decision when he accepted a scholarship to play tight end for the University of Notre Dame football team. Eifert took over the starting job as a sophomore following an injury to starter Kyle Rudolph, and kept the position for the next 3 seasons. In his junior campaign, he broke the school's single season receptions and receiving yards for a tight end with 63 receptions for 803 yards. Although his numbers declined slightly for his senior year, Eifert was still named an All-American and was awarded the 2012 Mackey Award as the nation’s top tight end.

Eifert was selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft with the 21st overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals. As a rookie, he recorded 39 receptions for 445 yards and 2 TDs for the Bengals. Eifert stepped up his game in 2015, catching 52 passes for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns on the way to his first Pro Bowl bid. He struggled with injuries over the next three seasons, before bouncing back to play in 16 games in 2019. Eifert then signed as a free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020.
