About Troy Aikman
Troy Aikman is a former player in the National Football League and is currently the lead analyst for ESPN's Monday Night Football. Troy began his career in college after he chose to play football instead of baseball after being offered a contract by the New York Mets out of high school. For the Oklahoma Sooners Troy became a star player and was selected as a Consensus All-American in 1988. Troy then made his transition to the NFL where he became the number one overall selection in the 1989 NFL Draft to the Dallas Cowboys where he spent his entire playing career. Troy became a legendary quarterback amassing close to 33,000 career passing yards and a career quarterback rating of 81.6. He was selected as a 6 time Pro Bowl team member as well as a Super Bowl MVP in one of the 3 Super Bowl victories to his credit. Troy is also a member of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor and has been inducted into the College Football and Pro Football Hall of Fame.
