About Trinity Thomas
Trinity Thomas is a retired American gymnast who fulfilled one of the most decorated careers in NCAA gymnastics history. Born in York, Pennsylvania, she competed at the University of Florida from 2019 to 2023. She is a Gator legend, having secured five NCAA championships, winning the 2022 NCAA all-around title, and tied the record of 28 perfect 10.0 scores.
She began her gymnastics career at the age of seven and rose to prominence training at Prestigious Gymnastics. She earned gold on floor exercise at the 2018 Pan American Championships and placed fourth at the 2016 City of Jesolo Trophy. She qualified for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials but was sidelined with a 2019 ankle injury that limited her career.
She has since retired and has become an advocate for the sport at the NCAA level. She has joined ESPN as a premier college gymnastics analyst and performs in Gold Over America tours. She is considered a trailblazer in the sport for young African Americans.
