Trev Alberts Biography

Trev Alberts is a legend in the state of Nebraska. He is currently the athletic director at the University of Nebraska after several years as director of athletics at Nebraska-Omaha, he began his career in football as a player first in high school where he became a standout star and later moved onto college at the University of Nebraska. While in college Trev continued to exhibit his skills on the field and earned the Dick Butkus Award, the Jack Lambert Trophy, and was recognized as a consensus All-American. Alberts then went on to play in the NFL after being the 5th overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft. After spending three years with the Colts as a player, Trev retired after the 1996 season due to injuries. Following his retirement, Trev began working as a broadcaster when he signed with ESPN to be a commentator and analyst of college football coverage.
