Torsten Frings

Torsten Frings is a former professional soccer player. In his career he played as a midfielder, but what made him special is that Frings could be versatile and play anywhere across midfield. His most used approach was to run deep from his own team’s box to the opposition’s box in an attempt to score using his explosive and powerful shot. Throughout his career Torsten played on several club teams including time in the UEFA Champions League as well as Major League Soccer. Some of his greatest accomplishments however came when he played on the German national team in two World Cups and scored 10 goals in 79 games. Following his retirement from playing the game of soccer professionally in 2012, Torsten has expressed interest in becoming a coach at Werder Bremen where he can be a part of leading the next generation of young players to develop their own skills and talents.
