Tommy Pham Biography

Tommy Pham is a star outfielder for the San Diego Padres. Pham was acquired by the Padres from the Tampa Bay Rays prior to the 2020 season. He originally joined the Rays during the 2018 season and went on a tear almost immediately. He finished the season batting .368 with seven home runs and 22 RBI in 39 games. Pham made even more history in 2019 by reaching base in 40 straight games, a Tampa Bay record. He spent the first five seasons of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals, establishing himself as one of the game's top young players. Pham's 2017 season was a true breakout when he hit .306 with 23 home runs, 73 RBI, 22 doubles and 25 stolen bases. During his rookie 2015 season, he helped the Cardinals win over 100 games and the National League Central Division. Pham was selected by the Cardinals out of high school in the 16th round of the 2006 MLB Draft.
