About Tom Zbikowski
At Buffalo Grove High School in Illinois, Tom Zbikowski was a standout quarterback who set all major passing records in the schools record books. When he arrived at Notre Dame to play college football, he switched to the strong safety position where he began seeing playing time as a sophomore. His junior season was a breakout one for Zbikowski as both a safety and return specialist, recording 71 tackles with 5 interceptions and 2 punt returns for TDs. As a senior, Zbikowski was named Third-Team All-American for the second straight year and after a fifth year season with 80 tackles he entered the 2008 NFL Draft where he was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens. He spent 4 seasons in the League with the Ravens, Colts and Bears before retiring from the NFL in 2013. Zbikowski has also had a short career as a professional boxer, winning his first bout in 2006 in just 49 seconds and recording 3 more wins in 2011 to take his career professional record to 4-0.
